Objective of the subgroups work

To validate ultrasound (including shear wave elastography) as an outcome tool in autoimmune myopathies (AIM)

Description of the possible contribution of the subgroup work for the OMERACT work

The subtask force was founded in 2018 with the objective to validate US for use in AIM for diagnosis, assessment of inflammation, assessment of structural damage, and monitoring of disease activity.

Short description of the previous work

The OMERACT US Myositis was formed spring of 2019 and has completed a systematic review that has been published. The group has completed a 5 round Delphi process and reliability testing of the ultrasound lesions.

Reporting back on work done since ACR 2018

Systematic review underway, PICO and search term identified

Papers under review and data being extracted.

Next steps and discussion points

Consensus on ultrasound morphological grading and additional definitions for a Delphi round 6 and repeat reliability testing. Results of which shall be published
